Ichiro Suzuki got his 2,999th career hit in the major leagues Saturday night, then missed a chance to add a milestone hit. Suzuki beat out an infield single as a pinch-hitter in the eighth inning for the Miami Marlins against Colorado. Oberg fielded the one-hopper and dropped the ball as he turned toward second base for a possible forceout.
