Jets place wide receiver Devin Smith on PUP, cut 11 players (Yahoo Sports)

The New York Jets have placed wide receiver Devin Smith on the reserve/physically unable to perform list and released 11 players, including kicker Ross Martin. Smith is recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament suffered last December, ending a disappointing rookie season. The second-round draft pick out of Ohio State had nine catches for 115 yards and a touchdown in 10 games before injuring his right knee.
