Giants to have Javier Lopez as instructor, and perhaps Bonds (Yahoo Sports)

FILE - In a Sept. 1, 2007 file photo, San Francisco Giants' Barry Bonds flies out in the ninth inning to end the baseball game against the Washington Nationals at RFK Stadium in Washington. There's finally a better matchup than Monday Night Football on another channel. Hillary vs. The Donald. If the debate were a baseball game, Trump would be Barry Bonds, a threat to homer in every at-bat, but also arrogant, willing to break the rules and unapologetic about it. Recently retired Giants left-hander Javier Lopez will work as a special instructor for San Francisco at spring training and there are discussions with home run king Barry Bonds about spending some time with the club in Arizona, too. General manager Bobby Evans said Friday that Lopez - an important reliever on the Giants' World Series winners in 2010, '12 and '14 - would join the team at its Scottsdale spring home.
