White Sox place Lawrie on DL (Yahoo Sports)

CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox placed second baseman Brett Lawrie on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to July 22, and recalled infielder Carlos Sanchez from Triple-A Chrlotte on Wednesday before their game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
