Ellsbury reaches on catcher's interference for 9th time (Yahoo Sports)

The Yankees' Jacoby Ellsbury reached base on catcher's interference for the ninth time this season, the most in more than two decades. Ellsbury grounded to shortstop in the first inning Tuesday night, but his swing knocked off the glove of Baltimore catcher Caleb Joseph, who was charged with an error. Ellsbury has reached on catcher's interference the most times in a season since Roberto Kelly's eight, also for the Yankees, in 1992.
