With Tulo out, Blue Jays activate 2B Devon Travis from DL (Yahoo Sports)

Toronto Blue Jays second baseman Devon Travis has been reinstated from the disabled list and immediately inserted into the starting lineup against the New York Yankees. With shortstop Troy Tulowitzki nursing a sore right quadriceps that kept him out of the lineup Wednesday, the last-place Blue Jays decided it was time to activate the 25-year-old Travis, who had been playing rehab games in the minors. Toronto optioned switch-pitcher Pat Venditte to Triple-A Buffalo.
