Royals' Mike Moustakas scratched because of sore left thumb (Yahoo Sports)

Kansas City third baseman Mike Moustakas was scratched from the Royals' lineup Friday night against Cleveland because of a sore left thumb. Manager Ned Yost said Moustakas was available to pinch hit. Kansas City also recalled left-hander Brian Flynn from Triple-A Omaha and optioned outfielder Terrance Gore to Double-A Northwest Arkansas.
