With the bases loaded and no outs, right fielder Adam Eaton made a running catch of Mitch Moreland's drive down the line as the runners took off. Eaton fired to first. Jose Abreu at first missed Ian Desmond, but Desmond overran the bag and was eventually tagged out in foul territory.
