RHP Kontos placed on DL Heston optioned to Triple-A (Yahoo Sports)

The Giants placed righthander George Kontos on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right flexor before Tuesday night's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. In addition, righthander Chris Heston, who pitched a no-hitter against the New York Mets last year, was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento. Righthander Mike Broadway and lefthander Steven Okert were recalled from Sacramento to replace Kontos and Heston.
