Padres put pitcher Ross on disabled list with shoulder woe (Yahoo Sports)

The San Diego Padres have put opening day pitcher Tyson Ross on the 15-day disabled list because of inflammation in his right shoulder. The Padres announced the move Saturday, retroactive to Tuesday. Right-handed reliever Brad Hand, claimed off waivers from the Miami Marlins earlier this week, reported to the Padres to fill the roster spot.
