Maikel Franco homered, doubled and drove in both runs and Jerad Eickhoff struck out nine in seven scoreless innings to lead the Philadelphia Phillies to a 2-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night. Philadelphia has won four of five after opening the season with four straight losses. Eickhoff (1-1), acquired at the trade deadline last season as part of the deal that sent ace lefty Cole Hamels to Texas, gave up four hits and walked none.
