Cubs come into home opener with soaring expectations (Yahoo Sports)

The Chicago Cubs came into the season eyeing their first championship since 1908 after last season's run to the National League Championship Series. ''We have very good replacements,'' manager Joe Maddon said. The Cubs believe they were built to withstand injuries, with a loaded roster and more players in the pipeline after years of overhauling their farm system.
