Williams figures he has another four months to wait before determining whether he can resume playing after having surgery to repair a neck injury. Though cleared to participate in offseason workouts, he acknowledged the first real test won't come until he pulls on the pads and takes his first hit during training camp. Bills safety Aaron Williams tempers the enthusiasm he has of participating in offseason workouts with a hint of trepidation when outlining the next hurdle in his recovery from neck surgery. It's another come August, when Williams will be asked to make his first actual tackle in training camp. ''We can do as many strength tests and as many mental tests as we can, but it's all going to come down to when we put the pads on,'' Williams said, after the Bills opened their offseason voluntary conditioning program on Monday.
