BASEBALL 2016: Braves face bleak season but brighter future (Yahoo Sports)

FILE - In this Feb. 24, 2016, file photo, Atlanta Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur smiles as he walks through the batting cages as he arrives with his bag of gear for his first day of spring training baseball practice in Kissimmee, Fla. Francoeur has made the Atlanta Braves opening-day roster with an impressive showing in spring training. The Braves told the 32-year-old outfielder on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, he will be added to their major league roster.(Curtis Compton/Atlanta Journal-Constitution via AP, File) MARIETTA DAILY OUT; GWINNETT DAILY POST OUT; LOCAL TELEVISION OUT; WXIA-TV OUT; WGCL-TV OUT; MANDATORY CREDIT

The Atlanta Braves are looking forward to a shiny new stadium and the bounty of a replenished farm system. Coming off a 95-loss season, their worst in a quarter-century, the Braves are likely to endure another difficult year while slogging through a major rebuilding job. New general manager John Coppolella has largely accomplished the goal of hoarding top young talent, including an impressive trade with Arizona that brought in 2015 No. 1 overall pick Dansby Swanson.
