Hunter Pence hit a home run and Jeff Samardzija pitched six innings in the San Francisco Giants' 6-4 loss to the Oakland Athletics on Monday. Angel Pagan, Miguel Olivo and Conor Gillaspie each added two hits for the Giants, who have lost 16 of the past 20 spring games to the A's. They play three more times in the Bay Bridge Series. A's starter Chris Bassitt gave up four runs and eight hits in 5 1-3 innings.
